Leatha Willoughby

Leatha Willoughby, a reliable and funny woman known for her generous spirit and loving nature, has departed our earthly realm on July 29,2025. Born October 7, 1952, in Haines City, Florida, Leatha would later make her home in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she spent 20 cherished years. Leatha was a doting mother and grandmother , loyal family member, counted on by all who knew her.
Leatha's professional life was spent at Eastman Kodak in the field of photography. Leatha owned and operated her own Daycare for many years.
In her personal life, she found joy in decorating and cooking, her love of the latter leading her to often entertain family and friends. A woman of faith, her Christian beliefs led her to a role in hospitality within her church. She had lived in Rochester, New York before making Charlotte her home, but no matter where she resided, what mattered most to Leatha was her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Yolanda Willoughby her grandchildren Marques Crisler , Frank Devon Crisler , Imani Crisler , great grandchildren Madison Crisler , Marques Crisler Jr, her sister, Valerie Cofield (Johnn Cofield) Uncle Jimmy Monroe and special cousin Charles Flowers , she leaves a host of neices and nephews, cousins and close loving friends; Sheila Robinson, Sheila Brutus and Betty Tuck. She was preceded in death by her father, William Willoughby, and her mother, Lenreatha Willoughby. Sister Linda Johnson , Cynthia Willoughby, William Willoughby, Joe Willoughby we remember Leatha, let us reflect on the words of Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." For Leatha lived these words, her loving and generous spirit a light that shone brightly, impacting all who knew her.
