Priscilla Perry

–

Marshville, North Carolina

The family of Priscilla "Prissy" Sotir Perry is deeply saddened to mark her peaceful passing on April 15, 2026. Born on September 18, 1957 in Pensacola, Florida. Priscilla was the fifth of seven children and made her presence known from the very beginning. She essentially took over the moment she arrived, bringing with her a vibrant spirit and a natural sense of humor.
Priscilla approached life with a rare combination of fire and grace. She was a woman of many talents, perhaps best known for her strong will and unwavering determination. To those who knew her best, her "downright stubbornness" was simply a testament to her strength—she knew who she was and exactly what she wanted.
This creative spark found its truest home in her hands; she was gifted in nearly everything she tried, but her true passion lay in floral design. Her beautiful wreaths and arrangements were a reflection of the color and beauty she brought into the world. Beyond her floral work, Priscilla found her greatest peace by the ocean. She was a true lover of the beach, finding joy in the salt air, the warmth of the sun, and the rhythmic sound of the waves—a place that perfectly matched her vibrant spirit.
If you knew Priscilla, you knew three things for sure: the music had to be playing, the chocolate had to be nearby, and a sarcastic comment was likely headed your way. Even as her memory faded, her sharp tongue and sense of humor stayed perfectly intact. She remained a world-class smart alec until the very end, proving that dementia was no match for her wit. She had a way of finding the humor in any situation, keeping those around her laughing on a daily basis. We’ll miss her rhythm, her sweetness, and most of all, that hilarious, stubborn spark that made her exactly who she was.
Priscilla has now been reunited with the love of her life and beloved husband of 43 years, George Roger Perry, as well as her mother, Francis Miller Sotir, her father, William Thompson Sotir, her siblings Rebecca Suzanne Sotir Sanders and Daniel Thompson Sotir, who preceded her in death.
Her legacy of strength and creativity will be lovingly remembered by her children, Andrea Lisa Rash, Jessica Amber Perry, and Rebecca Maria Perry Fischer; her grandchildren, Matthew Shutt, Cody Shutt, Wesley Shutt, Savannah Beckham, Kayden Carver, Diesel Stopher, Brooklynn Fischer, Madyson Fischer and
Audrianna Fischer; and her siblings, Carmen, Bee, Walter and AndriaMichele. She also leaves behind cherished friends who were like family to her.
A celebration of Priscilla's life will be held on May 2, 2026 at 1:00 at 4619 Marshville Olive Branch Rd. Marshville NC 28103.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Atrium Health Pineville Hospital and Magnolia Funeral Home for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
